Gobindbhog Rice Variety To Be Impacted By The Rains In West Bengal

In West Bengal, traditional crop of west Bengal was projected to produce more despite the current rains. During kharif, the state produces around 11 million tonnes of paddy accounting for 70% of entire output which is expected to be 15-16 million tonnes this year. The premium variety Gobindbhog is expected to be impacted by the rains as the crops are becoming larger and quality is suffering.
