Tur Continues To Trade Under Pressure Despite news Of Crop Loss In Karnatka

Tur markets continued to trade under pressure despite reports of crop loss in Karnataka and in the south Indian states to some extent. The cash market did not react because % of loss is much lower than flashed in the market. The overall loss in Karnataka is 10 to 15 %.Apart from it there is plenty of old stock in major markets, that is coming into markets.import volume of African crop is increasing which is comparatively cheaper than Lemon Tur imported from Myanmar.Crop condition in Maharashtra is excellent so far and it can compensate the loss, that was seen in Karnataka to a great extent.Apart from it new arrivals commenced in Sholapur region ,followed by Karnataka and M.P.Arrivals would continue to increase and peak up in end Dec.Import would continue till Jan-2022.So supply side seems at comfortable level and it would keep prices under control in the coming weeks.
However, weather condition in Maharashtra gets disturbed and the Tur crop, under flowering stages, gets affected by heavy rains and infestation increases in Tur crop due to high moisture level in the airand lack of sunshine, sentiment might change in the market.Right now steady to slightly weak tone may prevail.
