FSSAI(The Food Safety and Standards Authority Of India) has directed to its authorised officers at the ports of entries to facilitate the import clearance of pulses on priority basis.An order has been issued to concerned departments  to expedite the clearance of the pulses.Higher volume of import is expected at ports likeJNPT Mumbai, Chennai, and Mundra in coming weeks.The authorised officers at ports have been directed to expedite the clearance of the pulses without any delay.Even  importers of pulses  acn carry out advance filing of Bills of Entries in Food Clearance System of FSSAI in advance.
