India’s May Edible Oil Stocks at Ports and Pipelines Rose 18.31 Percent M-O-M: SEA

According to Solvent Extractors Association (SEA), India’s May edible oil stocks at ports and pipelines rose by 18.31 percent m-o-m to 22.36 lakh tons from 18.9 lakh tons in April 2022. Stocks of edible oil at ports in May rose to 416,000 tons (CPO 115,000 tons, RBD Palmolein 120,000 tons, Degummed Soybean Oil 101,000 tons and Crude Sunflower Oil 80,000 tons and 1,820,000 tons in pipelines (Stocks at ports were 565,000 tons and in pipelines were 1,325,000 tons in April 2022). India is presently holding 32 days of edible oil requirement on 1st May, 2022 at 22.36 lakh tons compared to 27 days of requirements of 18.90 lakh tons on 1st April, 2022. India held 18.09 lakh tons of stocks in ports and pipelines on 1st May 2021. India’s monthly edible oil requirement is 21.0 lakh tons.
