Statistics Canada’s recent report reveals that Lentil stocks in all positions have also decreased by 34% to 949,000 tonne as of March 2022, from 1.43 million tonne last year. New figure is also below from past five-year average of 1.51 million tonne of all classes of lentils. However, there is no change in commercial inventories but stocks at farms gate have reduced to mere 770,000 tonne, down by 39% from 1.26 million tonne last year. Commercial inventories have been seen at 179,000 tonne.
