Summer Moong Sowing In Punjab Reaches At High

According to the data from Punjab Agriculture Department, summer Moong sowing in the State has increased by 77.78% to 96,000 acres this year from 56,000 acres. Data indicates that Mansa district has led the state in sowing to over 25,000 acres which is almost 25 percent of the total sown area under the Moong here. Other major districts are Moga 12,750 acres, Ludhiana 10,750 acres. In Bathinda and Sri Muktsar Sahib districts sown area are 9,500 acres and 8,750 acres respectively.
