As per the news sources, the French grain maize crop, which was impacted by the drought this year, will produce roughly 10 million tonnes, marking the lowest harvest in decades. The expected yield of 7.9 tonnes per hectare (t/ha), down from a 5-year average of 9.7 t/ha, and a harvested area of 1.27 million hectares served as the basis for the crop projection. The production this year would be the least in more than 30 years, and the yield would be the lowest since 2003.
