3rd Advance Estimates of Production of major Pulses crops for 2022-23 released

According to the 3rd Advance Estimates of production of major crops for agricultural year 2022-23 released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, total kharif pulses production during 2022-23 is estimated at 275.04 lakh tonne which is higher by 2.02 lakh tonnes than previous year’s production of 273.02 lakh tonnes. As per the recent estimate, Chana production is estimated at 135.43 lakh tonnes and Moong at 37.40 lakh tonnes, higher by 5.74 LMT  as compared to previous year’s production, Tur at 34.30 lakh tonnes, down by 7.9 LMT, Urad at 26.12, down by 1.64 LMT and Lentil at 15.80 LMT, up by 3.11 LMT as compared to previous year output.
