Monsoon likely to be normal this year: IMD

According to the recent IMD forecast, the Southwest monsoon seasonal (June to September) rainfall over the country as a whole is likely to be 96% of the LPA with a model error of ± 4%. Agency further retained its forecast for 'normal' monsoon this year although is said that there is a high probability of El Nino.
