Farmers have covered 17.48 lakh ha under summer Moong so far, up by 21% from 14.43 lakh ha last year same time. M.P.is a major growing state, where sowing area was reported at 8.32 lakh ha. Recovery in area may minimize the impact of the rising temperature and the fear of small grain size.
