Moong cash market traded down during the week under review. It traded at INR 6,900 per quintal, down by 1.43% from 7,000 per quintal in Jaipur and at INR 7,800 per quintal, down by 2.58% from 8,000 per quintal in Jalgaon. Despite start of new season and end of harvesting in almost all the key growing states, Moong arrival pressure is still lower because farmers are holding back their produce as they wanted to sell their produce at MSP (Rs 7755/Qtl.) to Govt. The procurement of Moong likely to start from early October in key states. Prices are expected to improve once the procurement starts thereafter, comfortable supply would keep prices in check.
