Red chilli export scenario

As per Govt. data, in September 2022, 41,748 MT exports were reported up by 55.81% from the previous month.
Overall exports from January 2022 to September 2022 is reported at 307,655 MT which is down by 24.52% from the same period last year as a result of lower availability of premium quality, Sri Lanka economic crisis, lockdown in China during early months of the current year and also Russia-Ukraine war has affected the exports.
