Tur prices likely to trade firm

The Department of Consumer Affairs has constituted a Committee for monitoring Tur stocks held by various entities such as importers, millers, stockists, traders etc. in close coordination with the state governments. The Committee will be chaired by Additional Secretary, Smt. Nidhi Khare. The decision has come against the backdrop of reports of market players not releasing stocks despite regular arrival of imports in good quantities. However, new development is not likely to impact much on firm sentiments / trend given the background of limited stock at domestic end amidst stock holding intension among Myanmar traders which has helped in increase in C&F quotes specially for Myanmar influx.
