Ukraine’s Sunflower seed processing to reach 10 MMT in 2022/23

According to the optimistic scenario of Ukroliyaprom Association, the volume of sunflower seed processing may reach 10 million tonnes in 2022/23 MY. At the same time, the export potential of the oilseed is quite high at 2 million tons.
The estimate was made taking into account the production of sunflower seed at 10.4 million tonnes and the volume of oilseed stocks at the beginning of the season at 2 mln tonnes.
The ending stocks of sunflower seed in 2022/23 MY under both scenarios are forecast at 200 thsd tonnes.
