Unseasonal rainfall supported the Warangal chilli prices

As we have mentioned earlier, heavy rainfall in Warangal chilli growing regions two to three days before impacted standing chilli crops.  As per trade sources, quality reported damage as chilli is at maturity to picking stage and support the prices. Red Chilli Wonder Hot is offered firm at Rs. 15700-16700 per quintal, up by 1.83 per cent as compared to previous day.
 
Red Chilli 341 at Warangal market is quoted high at Rs. 15900-16600 per quintal, up by 1.84 per cent from previous day's price level. Red Chilli Denvor Delux at Warangal market is offered high at Rs. 15900-16600 per quintal, up by 1.84 per cent against previous day.
 
Red Chilli Paprika at Warangal market is trading strong at Rs. 14200-14700 per quintal, up by 2.08 per cent as compared to previous day. Red Chilli Fatki at Warangal market is quoted firm at Rs. 5700-9100 per quintal, up by 3.41 per cent as compared to previous day.
 
Currently, chilli buyers like masala millers are waiting for good quality supply. We expect in the coming days quality arrivals will improve and demand will be good. Chilli new crop arrivals continued with high moisture content around 10% to 12%, also quality reported weak due to unseasonal rainfall.
